Who PeakQQ™ Are?
What is PeakQQ™ ?
PeakQQ™ is a food ingredient that meets the requirements of functional foods.
Pyrroloquinoline quinone disodium salt (PQQ) is a water-soluble quinone compound that was first isolated from microorganisms in 1979 as a coenzyme of oxidoreductases.
In 2003, an article in Nature reported that it might be the 14th new vitamin, attracting worldwide attention.
Nugene Pharm (Shandong) Co., Ltd. developed the water-soluble salt of PQQ—pyrroloquinoline quinone disodium salt—in xxxx as a food product.

Food Ingredients Contained in Foods
PQQ is found in small amounts in food and is known to be present in organs and tissues throughout the body.
As a health food ingredient, it was approved by the U.S. FDA (Food and Drug Administration) as a New Dietary Ingredient (NDI) in 2008 and has been sold as an ingredient in various foods both in Japan and overseas.
In 2018, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) designated it as a Novel Food, allowing its use as a food ingredient for distribution within the European Union.
